Sexual Heath Care in Afghanistan

So as to not highjack Checks thread:

http://www.rawa.org/temp/runews/2008...stan_9347.html

I have a newphew spend two tours there, out the boonies much as Chuck described. He fould the lask of knowledge about sex and sexual habits to be extremely low, lower in woman than man. A condom was virtuaully unheard of and certainly not used.

Male Army medics were forbiden to touch female patients.

He also got the preption woman operated at about the 1,500 year level. Their only reading material was the Koran.

Frontline has also has two programs on child prostitution in Cambodia. They found pre-teen girls being forced to give clients oral sex. Apparently agents go out into the countryside of other countries and obtain exces daughters as 'maid services'. Once in Cambodia they had no way home. Eventually they outgrew these places and would be sold to street stall vendors. They are told the longer they work, the more customrs than can have, thus the more money. However it quickly goes to drugs. By this time an estimated 60% have some form of STD.

They found the attitude of the Cambodian government to be very indifferent. They are not our citizens and thus we own them no citizen rights, such as access to health care.

I doubt there are many counties in the world which doesn't have some type of child sex trafficing.

I suspect in the U.S. it is most teenagers than anything else. I caught part of a program on how mobile the business has become. It comes hot in one area, simply shift to another. The source of transaportion long-distance truckdrivers. Their pay, sex with the girls.
