Spent some time at my in-laws' farm over the weekend

They will be retiring there permanently from the mission field in August, so no animals or garden, etc yet. But hubby helped put up one wall of fencing for the future garden, and got to ride on the tractor, and also got to catch tadpoles in the pond with the kids. So now we are doubly motivated to get our own space! Working toward it diligently, as much as possible for now. We are temporarily in my grandparents' basement since we just moved here (MN) from another state. Have an offer on a house, and since it's a short sale, we are waiting for the bank. This will be temporary for us. Once there, we will finish paying off our debt while we look for our land up north, and pay cash for the land (hopefully). Then we want to build our own alternative housing (my husband, Mateo1041, has been posting about that every so often), again, hopefully paying cash as we go. The plan is to move up there permanently, sell the house we are purchasing now, and have $0 debt. We are hoping this will happen over the next 3-5 years, maybe 7 if we have setbacks (which we're sure to have).

So glad we had the opportunity to go up there this weekend and help our motivation along!
