The Barn

I posted here a few days ago concerning a blog I was doing about the building of a barn on my property @ http://www.40acresandanipod.wordpress.com
Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement.
I have recently added a new post and wanted to show everyone the progress. Its getting pretty exciting now. The structure is really taking shape. The next week or so will be sort of slow as I am adding the fascia boards and want to paint them before installation. I don't know about you guys, but I do not like painting!!
Thanks again for all of the kind words!

Amazing, I wish I were that handy. We are restoring our 100 year old barn, which will probably end up being more trouble and money than building a new one. :-)

Not so sure I'm handy.,stubborn is probably more accurate. I envy you. That must be an awesome experience.
I used to work in an old millworking shop as a cabinetmaker. The old fellas that worked there through the years, would record events as they occurred on the rafters. The Depression, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, assassination of Kennedy. I would imagine restoring an old barn would have some of the same characteristics. If not in words with the tool marks used to create the structure. You really should post some pictures I would love to see your progress.
I understand how projects seem to balloon in costs, but remember you can't buy a building like that anymore. Best of luck.

Take Care,

David
