7thswan, you asked what to do with sat antenna

Here is my old one. As you can see it is now upside down and with a Carolina Jasmine on the top. This is before I mowed yesterday.

Wow Agman, that's great! When I moved into this house there was a giant aluminum mesh dish in the front yard. It's still buried in some blackberries behind the garage, and I have often thought of turning it into an arbor. You beat me to it! My other crazy idea is giant papazan chair for 12 people with a fire pit in the middle, sunken into the yard. Or, suspended from trees with garage door springs and with a futon in the middle. Giant bouncy hammock thing! Probably safest for me to leave it where it lies, LOL! I have gotten good use so far from the mesh sections, made a few inlet strainers for various pumps and culverts.

That's Beautiful, what a great Idea. I had only come up with the world's biggest hanging basket or a big hanging bed. My neighbor used her's for an arbor, over their Grill, they put it on 4 posts. Mine is a mesh like yours, now I wish the pole was still avalable! How old is that vine?

You're in Michigan...I bet you could get a LOVELY huge grape vine growing up there. Or maybe big trumpet vine? I've seen morning glories get that tall, but not that thick without a trellis.

Very very lovely, Agmantoo. I'm envious!

The vine is roughly 5 years old. This is the first year the "trellis" has been totally covered. Just a note.....it was possible to invert the antenna without having to doing any cutting or welding on the mounting. A small brace was fabricated and bolted to maintain position. Few tools were needed.
