Have you ever "googled" your name? Whatja find?

My real name is Dan Swift. I grew up in Erie Pennsylvania. I googled my name and I found a cage fighter, by the name of Dan Swift. Guess where he's from. Erie Pennsylvania!!! There is also an astronomy professor from Alaska with many published papers by the same name. There is a ship that goes by the name, Dan Swift. Finally, there was a movie released several years ago staring Chris Adkins (Blue Lagoon) and the girl from Facts of Life , Mindy Cohn. In this movie, there is a guy who works in an office and his life is going great till things start to unwind. Then he goes postal. The main character's name is...Dan Swift.

Mine pulls up my address. It also pulls up some of the pages on my website. When I check my website visits I find that other people have searched my name. Considering my site I doubt they are doing it for friendly reasons. Sometimes the DNR googles my name. I'm positive that they aren't doing it for friendly reasons.

There's 94 people listed with my name. That surprised me because it's not that common here. They had my age listed as 88! Boy, do I look good for my age. I didn't go any further because I'm too cheap to pay for the info.LOL.

Couldn't find anything about me, so I guess I'm still just a face in the crowd. However, when I last renewed my license, I discovered somebody in Texas who shares my first, middle, and last names, and my date of birth in a different year. I don't know what this guy did, but they're still pretty mad about it.

When I google my current married name, I get 3,490,000 results. Fortunately, what comes up in on the first page are actually ME. We have websites for company, etc... The rest are others.

When I googled my maiden name, I am another who doesn't come up. I didn't add my HS... Probably should try that, LOL!

Very common name here. Two others with same name within 3 miles of me and I live out in the "country". Also a Sy Young winning pro baseball pitcher and a famous disco era rocker.

I have a pretty common name, my married name anyways, which I kept after the fact. Common enough that the other me at the public library got their bill paid for. I had someone get married with my name and somehow it rubbed off on me. I'm still trying to sort that one out. Even ended up with the other me's bank account while standing in line at the teller trying to make a withdrawal once (for a second I thought I was rich!).

I'm seriously debating changing my name, the whole thing. Heck all the country singers and actors do it. John Wayne didn't exist till Marion Morrison thought he needed a new name. Hmmm... what should I call me...

Apparently, Nicolas Sarkozy, the president of France, is married to a woman with the same name as mine. She's known for her nude pictures online, among other things. I hope she's good looking.

Ah - well, if you are taking on MNDNR, you are taking on the most powerful public person(s) in the state. They have more power than State Troopers.

isnt that the case in all states? goes back to the DNR officer that had a stick of dynamite shoved in his mouth back in the 80's!

I always took solace that I was the only person in the world with my name!

not so in fact I share all three names with at least 10 people, and there are about 2500 with the same first and last name. 1 of wich is a famous poker player (or at least a professional) and at least two different races.

I've done it in the past and only gotten relatives. My nephew is a big wig scientist and my SIL, before she died, was a decorated high school teacher. Some nieces are wealthy realtors and stuff shows up for them.

I just googled myself and I now have two listings of me. One was a published report for providers from my employer. The other was from a recent real estate transaction.

I just googled my maiden name and the purchase of our current home came up. Nobody would know it was me.... it came up only because my first name and the town in which I live are the same.

Lots of guys with my name and they seem to have done well. I, however, don't exist. Fine with me.
