washer lintfilter need help

my kenmore washeralways has a lot of lint. Can,t find the lint trap.Its suppose to be in the agaitor,or rim of washer. Nope not there. I bought one that looked like a fishnet that you put on the end of the hose that fits down the drainageline. Wellthat don,t work! When the clothes started spinning,water shotback up the drainagehose.Take the filter off it quits doing that. I have to have a filter tho. I have so much lint. Please help.

You might have to take the tub out to get to it

My Roper has a screen on the back of the machine; remove the drain hose, and look in with a flashlight. Sometimes it's removable, sometimes you just need to replace it.
