Good freezer containers?

Getting mighty tired of using expensive, one time use freezer bags for freeze storing fish game, soups and veggies. Looking for a good reusable alternative. We've used the GladWare containers and good ol' Rubbermaid seal-ables but the GladWare isn't very durable and the rubbermaid types are dang expensive. Thought something like plastic jars would work well. As a matter of fact we are saving any that we come across (like peanut butter jars etc.) but they are few and far between in good sizes. Does anyone have any a source or ideas for reusable, DURABLE freezer containers?

Use modern mason jars they are freezer safe. Also there is a USA made plastic jar product in the canning section at Wal Mart.
