Forums like this -- but in Spanish?

I'm studying Spanish and I'd like to find a forum similar to HT but in Spanish. Hopefully my passion for bees, chickens, rabbits, gardening, food preservation, etc. will encourage me to read and practice my Spanish more. Reading text books, while helpful, is... well, I'm not passionate about it

Do we have any Spanish-speaking folks here that know of similar forums in Spanish?

This is the only one I know of but it's pretty good, maybe there are more but this is the only one I ever registered at. It's not a homesteading forum but you can carry on conversations with other people who are practising learning new languages. Scroll down to the bottom and check out the topics on the "cultural discussions" forum:

Ya traté de hacer esto pero sin éxito.
Ejemplos:
finca, foro
vida rural, foro
jardín, pollo, conejo, foro
autosuficiente, foro

Es decir, encontré unos pocos foros pero no me gustaron.

Si tienes otras ideas, por favor dime - muchismas gracias por la sugerencia.

Thanks, Naturelover, I will check it out!

For anyone else interested specifically in Spanish, SpanishDict.com is excellent. Tons of training videos, flashcards, text chat, discussion boards, and every Saturday a voice chat via Skype or Tokbox.

It's just that I'm ready to try to jump in and do some real reading and communicating, rather than little practice sentences and exercises. I'll check out the link you posted. Thanks again.

If you're looking for people to practice your Spanish with, there is a site I have used in the past mylanguageexchange.com that will help you find people to help. I found it while looking for help learning Greek but have made several friends, mostly Spanish speakers there (I'm proficient enough in Spanish) and improved my literacy in Spanish, German, and Greek a great deal as a result.

My daughter uses busuu.com to chat with others. She loves learning languages and even taught herself Japanese using another site called yesjapan.com

I´m currently living in Mexico. Unfortunately the folks that are living a ´homesteading´ lifestyle here in Mexico are generally too poor to have internet access. I´m currently accessing the internet from an internet cafe. Though internet cafes are everywhere, they tend to be used by teenagers and gringos. Also, the campesinos tend to be your less educated people and therefore have little interest in the internet.

There are lots of forums for practicing Spanish. Generally with the other people wanting to learn English. There are even some live chats for this purpose. If you do happen to find a Spanish speaking homesteading forum please let me know!

Not as big as HT but still good:
http://www.infojardin.com/foro/index.php (garden oriented)
http://www.granjaonline.es/ (dedicated to livestock)
Also, don't miss the galleries of this homesteader:
