You evidently don't wear traditional cowboy boots.

I have a pair of boots that are smooth - slipped all over this winter first time it snowed. Now i'm wearing a pair that have "cleats" and at least I'm staying up right.

Wish I could find the old 2 buckle (rubbers) but none ive found fit my shoes, size 12. I cant even find the old 5 buckle overboots that size. I have a pair of rubber knee boots slip on. They get me by, but I hate to have to change from shoes to boots. I have extreme protrudeing ankle bones whidh inhibit me wearing cowboy boots, and they bother me in getting off the rubber knee boots I have now.

I take a bench grinder or angle grinder or die grinder to the edges of the cleats to bevel them. Mud is not as hard to get out after doing so.

FarmBoyBill,

A company by the name of Servus sells overshoes like you are describing. You might want to go to www dot servusproducts dot com. You can see their products and locate a retailer near you.

I have both 2 buckle and 4 buckle overshoes for my size 13 work boots. They work very well.

I gotta have them, myself.

If I don't have some tread on the soles of my boots or shoes, I spend
way to much time getting up off the Ground. I hate it when that happens! And, sometimes it Hurts!

The older I gets the more it happens and the worse it hurts. It also takes longer to get healed up & feeling better.
A couple of my old, comfortable boots have soles that are worn slick. But, I
love to wear them........it's just always chancy.
Yeah sometimes I wear treaded boots on, into the house & gets some mud on the floor.
But tread on my soles contributes to my health and well being.
So, I'd rather have them.
