Is there any way

Is there any trick to getting a VCR tape out of a built-in VCR player in a small TV? I put one in and it just won't eject. Hate to have to buy another TV just to be able to use the VCR player.

With screwdriver in hand you can remove the case and access the VCR unit. Then you can work the tape out.

I've retrieved them with tongs or chopsticks. However a machine that has grabbed one tape may be the problem, not the tape, so don't put your tools away after you get this one out.

We've tried with a flat knife with fingers but it's just in there real tight.

It's fixed! DH took to his basement workshop and plugged it in and pushed eject and it worked. Must have scared it into working.

VCRs need a good shake up now and then. Ours quit a few years ago, and we took it 20 miles to a repair shop. Went back a week later to pick it up, and they told us there weasn't anything wrong with it. It worked perfect after that little trip it took.
