Guess We're Going With Propane

Called up by our Cabin about getting a Propane Heater put in.The company said they would just bring in the Tank but thats all they would do.

Well we had to go into Town down here to a different company. The Guy was real good even though they didn't go as far as our Cabin they would fix us up with a nice Heater and stuff to get it set up.Plus he gave us a number for a Company up there he thought would help us.

We thought about Wood Heat but with my Health and all we decided against it.Thought about Pellet Stove but by the time we set up and dealt with it we might as well go with wood.

Pellet stove is alright if ya got electric. I think it needs the juice to feed the pellets?

propane is a great choice. warm heat....oooooh I love that warm heat..LOL

Are you doing heaters or fireplace type situation.

My MIL has one of those big chunky heaters....gives great warmth

My house I went with the fake fireplace setting...and it throws great heat, has a theromstat built in, turns it on and off while blazing and gives me that lovely fire look that I love. My fireplace is set against my living room wall (stand alone and ventless) and with the ceiling fan on it heats my whole house, bedrooms also. My floor plan it works great.

We are going with a Heater. We talked about Ventless Heaters he told us the main problem with them is the moisture.

He said the one we looked at would be plenty big to heat the whole place.I'm just wanting to be warm and safe.

yeah safe I hear you there.

I had mine installed by the company. I just didn't want to do it ourselves. Anything that can "blow" worries me..LOL

Nice aspect about propane heat is you actually have heat even if the power is down. Plus stove and hot water. Natural gas depends on the supplier's ability to keep it supplied. Check into a propane fired generator.
