Unhappy Rude HT Posters!

When I first started HT in 2005 people were so kind, helpful, funny, serious (but not rude). Now a person (and I am not even talking about me) will post a question and it is greeted with sarcasm and negativity.
I'm tired of it and am sadly going elsewhere for awhile.
I can understand heated conversations in the General Chat forum (but still should be civilized). However, in the Pig section? And in more than one thread? Come on. So one person may be succeeding in life, why put him down? Another asks a question on prices and a poster replies AS IF they had been personally attacked, it is pathetic.
"Thank you" to all the good people who have so generously contributed your time, experiences and helpful suggestions- and good luck!

True Cabin Fever setting in.But I understand too I try to help on some questions and seems most the time I'm put down I just brush it off. What they don't understand is never have had much money to work with or desent ground to work with so I was always taught to make do weather it is right or wrong.Seems like there is alot of people on here that have more funds and if anything is done its done by the Book.

Like when I went to School with a Poultice on a Bad cut that had got infected. The School Nurse had a fit said,"DANG HILLBILLIES WITH THEIR DANG HILLBILLY WAYS!!!".Hey I thought nothing of it because this is the way we took care of things

If you haven't done a report a post on the rude ones, you're part of the reason it continues! Please use the report a post.

It's been my experience that rudeness stems from a negligence in upbringing, or some kind of pain. Some just don't know any better, some are hurtin so bad they don't realize what they are doing. Of course, some are just plain mean. Momma always told me to consider the source.

I think only one person is getting Cabin Fever.

I got tired of the rudeness, so I put myself on ignore.

Now, nothing I type gets under my skin, anymore.

And come on, it's pigs. I've been to fairs. I've seen even little kids wakling around with canes and boards just to keep them from fighting.

I read thru the pig/price thread twice and feel mighty dumb.
I dont see any rudeness anywhere in that thread.
Was it edited out?

I've tried finding the rude, and missed it too.

Of course, not all use the same yardstick.

And if a true problem why post it in a forum that does not work on that issue/forum?

Oh, well -

I agree also to not bring Cabin Fever into this.

I do not own pigs but I like bacon, ham and pulled pork.

As a human animal we are funny to one and another once in a while. We each add a little flavor to the soup. Have fun. Stick around. It's your turn to stir. My arms are getting tired.

I was about to ask that same question, 'Cabin Fever'. LOL
I too notice a lot of UM... "anger" by some posters.
I really think 'Wind in Her Hair' has it in for 'Cabin Fever'. Can we get a ref. for this match.LOL
Seriously, I think we sometimes read something into a post that is not there. It can be hard to tell attitude when you can't hear the tone of the voice.
We may read it one way when it was intended another.
Big Rockpile, I'm with you, but I don't think it is a matter of right or wrong when doing something.
Just remember everyone, "There is no right way or wrong way, just your way and my way, and the fun of sharing ways." After all, isn't that why we are all on this site.

Maybe I am the one with Cabin Fever- However, I do know by other posts that I am not the only one who thinks some posts have been rude or a little out of line lately. The one rude pig post is gone (good)! I wasn't just talking about the pig forum alone either.
In short, it would be nice if people used the same manners as if they were speaking face to face with someone is all.

Strangely enough it felt like I was abandoning a whole family (despite you are all strangers to me,) just because I didn't agree with a cousin or two. Yes, I like it here too much!

I look at it just like everyday life... Some people are just that way. Same as in business. You just have to overlook those people. I have asked questions before and been treated not the best. But the majority of the people are nice and friendly.
