Glad to see you're battened down.

We got prepared as best we could, but the thing stopped about 50 miles west of us, so all we got (and still have) is high winds and snow flurries. Friends down in west central Oklahoma, got dumped on badly. It is dang cold here.....how are your temps up there? must be really frigid.

Luckily and surprisingly...the temp is not bad at all! It got up to 30 yesterday and I think the low was around 20 last night. But that makes for a much heavier snow though. The wind chill is in the teens.

All I can say is..."Beautiful!" My husband thinks I'm crazy, but that is what I want here.

It is beautiful. We live right on the SD border so we have a lot of the same. I thought that this Christmas was great, no one was tempted to leave. We are still snowed in and I like it

I'll like to be there too Here in Miami we have the AC set to 72 trying to stay cool. Can't wait to retire and get to Ga full time, no snow ever, but it does get cold sometimes and the leaves do change color. Here in Fla, its green, green, green year round. Have to cut the grass year round. I know a lot of people up north envy us down here, but it's not all that it's cracked up to be. It will be nice to see some changes once in a while.

If it is like ND, this is only the beginning LOL, I am going to try to get pictures off my old computer--we get winters like this about every 3 or 4 yrs-my brother has to hire a commercial equipment to clear the snow and it is like driving through a tunnel, when they are working, you can't see the equipment. One year I had to sell my driving mares because there was only a cleared trail to the highway and they could walk over the fences, we wired electric posts to the top of the fenceposts with electric fencing and they went over that. I was afraid they would go to the highway and get hit. When we moved back, my brother had cows and we had to do the same thing.

Well we had a snow on Christmas and it was gone by noon. In Arkansas it almost never last for a couple of days.

well, i confess--this storm was all my fault...seriously, just a week ago, i said 'i would actually like a blizzard for christmas! getting all snowed in, stranded, ahh!" sorry!

and i'm also enjoying it. we live near the missouri river, and had tons of wind, plenty of snow, but the water tanks were liquid all day?! weird. we enjoyed christmas without the stresses of who we HAD to see, what we HAD to do--all we did was enjoy it. ahhh.

The snow was thigh deep in our yard. We have 15 foot snowdrifts on the northside of our barn. Thankfully we did not lose power!!

My dog wouldn't know what to tink with all that snow. Heck I would lose the poor doxie in all that snow. We had a flake or 2 a few weeks back. I think I just need to go to the mountains of NC the next time they say it is going to snow up there. I need some quiet. Cindy
