satellite-fed 3 day weather forecaster - great deal
if anyone is still looking for a bargain gift - or wants a cool 3 day weather forecaster - go to www.woot.com today only. Just bought dh one and he is going to love it!
we never take the time to go online to see what the weather is going to be like, do not watch tv, and do not get the local paper. So we hardly ever know what the weather patterns are supposed to be. this sounded perfect.
(I realize I hardly ever see - or maybe even never see - posts like this here but thought maybe someone else might be interested/looking for a gift. I apologize if it is the wrong place or not appropriate)

Who or what agency provides the forecast I didn't see that point listed?
I generally only check the forecasts on wunderground.com which seems to use the National Weather Service forecast and also some zone forecast through NOAA, but local television stations via online service tend to be a tad more accurate.
Thanks for the link.

"provided by the most accurate weather service, AccuWeather. "
I found this on another site's description of the product, prices ranging from $49 to $83

I get all the weather and satellites I need right here on the net. Just pick your state and pick your county or area.

But if you don't check the weather, great gift.

Well, i clicked on your site, and I'm not sure how a $729 HD TV helps you any with the weather if you don't watch TV?
Vizio 47” 1080p LCD HDTV with 120hz Smooth Motion
$729.99
I think perhaps they change that web page every day, & I might be a bit confused as to what product you got? I never heard of such, so was kinda interested. Could you give us the name of it?

Linking to a one-day sales site probably wasn't so helpful, the way an internet forum goes it will be seen for the 1st time by many up to a week later. While it was nice to offer that site for where you bought it, it's not a good long-term friendly advice.....
I'll have to be a little more blunt:
What is the brand name and model name of the device you bought, so the rest of us can look it up?
Many places sell electronic devices, I'm sure we can find it someplace else.
IF we know the name of it?????
Thanks.

Amazon.com link. $40.
Looks like a great item, Cathy. Particularly for folks who don't use The Weather Channel, or have the time for the morning news casts. Artificer is always asking (when he's out at the farm working) me what the forecast is for the week.
THIS is the description/info from Bushnell.com There are 3, 5, and 7 day versions.

I know that at least my local Wal-Mart along the WI/MN border had the Bushnell's on clearance for $25 a few weeks ago.

My wife bought one at Wal Mart it is called weather direct and it is nice. I sit there and see the forecast for the next 3 days and it is accurate.
