Add about a tablespoon of Dawn dishwashing liquid to that hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Skunk smell is oil-based and the Dawn will help break down and emulsify the oil so the other stuff can work on it.

You will need to soak clothes in this solution for about an hour before washing

As for the hide - you are on your own with that....

A product called OUT!
It is an enzyme not a perfume.
It immediately destroys the skunk secretion.
Wallmart sells it.
The peroxide formula works OK but it will bleach hair.

That mixture of peroxide, dish washing liquid and baking soda does the trick..immediately gets rid of those horrid odors..my old German Shepard rolled in manure, delighted in dead opossum carcasses, and met up with a few skunks too..I used:
1 cup peroxide
1 cup dish washing liquid
1/2 cup baking soda..

It looks like Mount Vesuvius ..rub in, let it stay there for no more than 5 minutes and rinse a million times..

I have tried the tomato juice, the peroxide / soda / dawn mix and they did not work on our skunk problem. I did use this http://www.pet-dog-cat-supply-store....-flypage-10043

I did not buy it from this website, I got it at our local L & M store. I used it on the dog (2-3 times) but it says you can use it on pets, fabrics, and all water safe surfaces.

Well try what I suggested, if it works on a dog and other water safe surfaces, I would think it would work for skunk skin.

Hi There!

Try cola in the hair...let sit for an hour then rinse.

Viniger bath for the body, then rinse.

Vinegar will work wonders. I got skunked by a baby skunk...FYI: they can spray even before their eyes are opened...and vinegar took it all out.
