Need Parts for Wood Cookstove

I have an Atlanta No. 15-36 Kitchen Range. Made by Atlanta Stove Works, Inc. The Owner's Manual says Copyright 1980 Atlanta Stove Works, Inc., Atlanta, GA 30307. I purchased this stove new at an old hardware store. The owner said that there were 2 of these cookstoves in crates in the back of an old building he had bought. We have used this stove every winter for cooking and keeping the East side of the House warm. We are in need of a new Front Grate, listed as Item number 3, part number 200125 in the parts illustration page. We also need a new fire door, Item number 37, Part number 201421. The best I can tell from the internet is this company has gone out of business. In the owner's manual it says to order parts from A & B Parts Division in Birmingham, AL 35207. I can't find this place either. This is a solid black cast iron stove, 6 eye top with a porcelein oven door, warming ovens with 2 porcelein doors and a steel backsplash attached. If anyone has any idea where I can get parts for this stove please let me know. My fire door won't latch anymore and the front grade was broken and my DH brased it back together but we still need a new one. Thank you much.

I wish I could help you. But I'm sure with yours being newer someone can. I'll also be watching this thread because I need a source for a cast iron fire box protector for a 194* Home Comfort.

Can you post a picture of what the grate looks like, include dimensions?

My camera isn't compatable with this Windows Vista. I'll try to get dimensions of it tomorrow. There is a fire in it right now. :-)

Can you send as an attachment to an e-mail to me at scharabo@aol.com. Unless the grate is something sophisticated, likely I can make you up a substitute.

However, like a fireplace grate they are considered to be expendable items. That is, they will burn out over time.

A winery in the NE had me make them andirons/log-dogs out of 1 1/4" mild steel for the fireplace in their wine tasting room. They had been going through about a regular basket grate in a season. I suggested to them they find some old RR track and have a machine shop cut it to length.

Your door is likely cast iron. If a broken hinge it might be repairable, but not a lot of welding shops are willing to try to weld cast iron.
