Exterior paint recommendation, FWIW

I recently painted my new lean-to with Kilz exterior red barn paint and was VERY pleased with the results!

This paint is marketed as "self-priming," and whaddaya know, it really is! Two coats were sufficient on raw treated wood and T-111 siding. Very very good coverage, IMO. I was painting on cool days, with temps in the high 50s-60s, and the paint dried as rapidly as if it had been warmer.

A final plus: it cleans up with soap and water ... no need to use turpentine.

Just wanted to pass this information along to anyone who might find it helpful!

If you don't mine my asking, what was the cost for this paint?

I recently painted a barn and had good results with the Pittsburg Paints Ultra exterior they sell at Menards... but it wasn't cheap.

I think it was around $14 a gallon. Wal-Mart.

Did you paint any metal or masonry with it? I have a barn to paint and sure like the idea of self priming.

No, other than the nail heads! Sorry I can't advise you on that.
