Concrete is deconposing!

On the three acres I just bought I have the foundation of an old barn that is 40 x 60 feet. Concrete floor and outside walls ten inches high. The floor is level no obstructions side to side and end to end but the whole thing is crumbling into grit size pieces. It was built just about a hundred years ago.

It would be a lot of work to get rid of this. What could I use it for as is?
I've been thinking I might start down one side with manure, wood chips and leaves to make compost. On the other side rabbit hutches, portable chicken house, portable tool shed.

Any more or better ideas???

Park anything there that takes up ground space. You won't even have to cut weeds or grass from under it.

old foundations have been used for thousands of years for gardens..however you might be able to reuse the foundation for a building as well if you want.

we had an old foundaiton..we poured fresh concrete over the top of it and built a new shed over it..it was only 12 x 16 but it worked out well.

also you might consider putting a roof as a pergola over part of it for shade and then laying pavers in pea gravel or sand over the foundation..and then use the rest for gardens..
