I have a wishlist on Amazon with several books on writing that I want. I told my dad I want a ham for Christmas as I will not break down and buy one as expensive as they are. My sister is getting us the largest cast iron skillet at Rural King that she can.
Dh wants effects for his electric guitar. I can't get a straight answer out of my kids on what they want, so I haven't begun to shop yet.

I would like to receive a nice comfy rocking chair or glider chair and ottoman. Two great grandsons are the only ones that receive gifts because they are under 2. Everyone else wants and receives money. I have many Christmas wishes for my friends and family that are to numerous to mention.

Get Deacon Jim a razor like this one. You could say that it's a dual purpose tool!

My 9yo dd wants a shotgun (pink of course).
My 14yo dd wants a case of Dr. Pepper, duct tape, and a goat
My 8yo ds wants a real gun that "shoots 100 bullets"
My 11yo dd wants books, and a duck

Money is always tight (one military income) so my wife and I haven't exchanged gifts at Christmas, or Birthdays in years. I got a new flashlight at wally world the other day, that was my Christmas

This year we are making knitting/crochett kits for the girls. They all learned to knit and/or crochett this year, so we are making little kits with needles, yarn, hooks, and other accories. For my son, hard telling, he is easy. Tools, legos, camping gear, anything is good for him.

The Christmas Season is not about the gifts for us. We like to be able to bless others. We spend hours in the kitchen baking cookies, breads, candy, etc.. to give to people. All the neighbors, the guys in my shop, our friends get plates of goodies. The guys in my shop look forward to it every year.

Why Duct Tape?

All I can say is Duct Tape looks like a hot item for this year so I better buy early. She wants to make a miners hat with a flashlight and tape. Creativity I love it.

You might be a red neck if....... your kid wants duct tape for Christmas! (Which is sad, because I am sure DS would LOVE duct tape for Christmas, but I think I might get him a kids guitar instead...bad mom!)

Kids make the most interesting things with duct tape. My daughter some years back made these awesome wallets with pockets for credit cards, the big opening for the cash etc...really cool. You never know what they will come up with! My 11 yr old still has the one she made him, 4 years later? Who says it has to be expensive to impress?

My hubby can never have enough duct tape...naw...don't ask....
