Where'd my right hand gloves go?

We have a basket of chore gloves - the yellow ones. I wanted to grab a pair, but pulled out 6 lefties in a row. How does that happen?

They ran away with the sock mates you can't find either.

What was in the rest of the basket?

Peg

And for the record, our right hand yellow chore gloves disappear first too, even though Paul is left-handed and I'm a rightie so you'd think it would even out here! The glove-stealing dogs are gone so I can't ask them.

Left-handed gloves are appreciated by blacksmiths. I have several unused right ones.

Probably where all my left hand gloves went. I am a lefty and have a bunch of righties.

my hubby is a lefty, so I end up with the right hands. should be a perfect match since I'm a righty, but they're tooooo big for me! and I agree...they went to that secret place that houses missing socks. I've never figured that one out yet.

Good question - I'll have to research that - some unidentified stuff. I guess there are other kinds of gloves, maybe some socks, some gardening tools. So i was inaccurate in my original statement. Maybe if I dig down another foot or two, I might find more matches.

Coat pocket where somebody took it off to do something that required dexterity?

I've found mine buried in the coop, in the dog house (bad puppy), in pants pockets in the hamper... I give up. Ought to tie 'em to my sleeves like a child's mittens, lol.

Agree, there's something about right handed gloves that love to hide. Under the car seat. In coat pockets. On the mower seat. Just can't get them trained to stay with their partner.

Actually, I wear out my right handed ones first. Usually end up with a hole in the thumb, or something similar. Tend to hang onto the good left handed ones, as I *may* need to replace a leftie in a pair one day.

my dh asked me this exact question today! he was trying to string up barbed wire and all he could find were lefties...... I use left ones when I am trimming feet to protect my hand from the rasp. the right ones usually get layed down.....and often abscounded with by a dog.......

Went to an estate auctiion a few years back and they was still on the hay wagons selling the minor stuff. There was a big box of gloves of all kinds that I did not look at real good before the sale. Well, I was sort of in the back of the crowd and when they held up this big box of gloves I ended up buying it for a dollar and thought I got one heck of a deal. Ya know what I got? Probably 80 left handed gloves. The old farmer lost his righty in a farm accident years ago. Once again, "always pay attention to the details".

Save those lefties!

When you find a rightie & it gets a hole in a finger, cut off the whole finger from a leftie, slide it over the finger with the hole & glue it with gorilla glue. Put a weight on it. Takes a full 24 hours to dry. Works great. I'm currently wearing a rightie with two former holes! (No, not while typing, silly)

Turn three of them inside out and then you can wear them on the right ;-)

That's what I was thinking. I'm a righty so I usually wear out the right hands too.
