Cleaning out water lines in refrigerator

We just bought a new-to-us fridge that has water and ice in the door. The appliance has been well-cared for but I would like to sanitize the water lines. What would be the best way to do so, considering that there is an in-fridge filter? I have Iodophor (iodine solution I use in my home brewing endeavors) if that might work.

I would first see if the filter can be changed. If so I would get a small fountain pump, and connect it to the incoming water line on the fridge and put it in a bucket of the sanitizer and use the door switch to activate the solenoid which brings the water to the door. Also let it make a batch of ice to clean the icemaker. Then change the filter with a new one and you should be good to go. Chlorox will work fine.
