Burning manzanita in stove?

Does anybody know whether you can burn manzanita in a wood stove. I know that it burns hot and some things that I find say that it can warp the stove. I was curious whether I could burn one 4" +/- log of manzanita along with one or two oak logs or possibly pine.

Thank you!

Wood is wood. If a stove gets over heated it's due to too much draft. If it's real dense that just means it will burn longer.

Define "stove". If it a tin walled old Ashley, those burnt out walls regularly, faster with hot wood. 3/16th and thicker plate is less likely to have a problem. Cast iron, under some conditions, can crack.

Yes, you can burn manzanita in a wood stove. A friend of mine in California does it all the time. Like what was stated above, it does burn hotter then most woods but just keep a eye on the temperature and if it gets too hot, close the air intake a little.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the replies. It's a brand new Osburn 2400 with brick insulation.
