advice on heater

I am looking at buying a portable heater for my 20'x20' garage to use for about an hour at a time while I'm out there. I can vent the heater out the garage door if needed. I was thinking about a propane or kerosine forced air model, I am new at this so any advice is appreciated, how many btu's etc..... thanks. ps, I live in SC so winters aren't brutal.

It's hard to beat these for both price and performance, and they dont have to be vented outside

I'd get the propane myself. It's cleaner and safer to handle, and theres no odor.

Of all the various portable heaters I've had, and I've had a number of them, I've found the types that clamp on the top of a gas grill tank to be the handiest and most usefull. No, they don't throw as many BTU's as some of the others. But they are much easier to handle, cheaper to run, and heat me just fine when I need it.

Exactly what these heaters are meant for, I've used a diesel version, it ran clean as can be but you really don't want to go over a few hours in there with it, and you want a cracked window or door. No matter which type you get keep it in good running condition. A CO detector is never a waste of money either
