Parts for my greenhouse....getting desperate.

I bought a used greenhouse frame, very few peices of glass left.

I was unaware, when bought it, that it took "special" bolts, to connect it together & "special" clips to keep theglass in the frames.

I am not having any luck finding these bolts or clips, here in the states.

Been to the hardware stores.
Spoke with several different contacts listed on US web sites.
Odered square bolts through Fastenall, they did not work.

I have seen the clips on several oversees websites, but they are not responding to my e.mails.

Can anyone help me........?
Ideas, suggetions...?

Thank you

A picture of the bolts/clips your looking for would help. If you can't post one how about a link to one of the sites you found them.

Try Rowe Brothers Greenhouse in Cinn. Oh. (sorry, don't have an address or phone #) They were a greenhouse manufacturer decades ago. They do the maint. work on the Khron Conservatory in Cinn. I'll second that pictures would help.

Or make your own clips and improvise with obtainable bolts.

Are they T bolts? Do they look anything like this:

http://www.charleysgreenhouse.com/14...0-per-pak-.htm

The bolts are meant to slide in the channel...I believe they have different sizes. There are also hangers that fit in the channels.

Here is one style of clip:

Hope this helps...

have you considered relacing your glass in the missing areas with lightweight polycarbonate? it won't break..it will basically last forever..and a lot easier to install

check with gardeners supply catalog company..

If you have to use glass, hold it in with silicone call. You can use self-taping screws for the frame. And seal the other holes with chalk. Farm Tec has double and triple wall that is like honeycomb. Nice but expensive. PS I'm assuming it is aluminum frame.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

Couple of answers to your replies

I have tried Farmtek, they don't have what I need.

I would like to use glass, partly because I have a lot of old windows I am hoping to cut down and use, partly because I don't want to purchase a covering, and mostly, because I like to look of the glass. So the polycarbonate panels would be a last resort.

improvising with obtainable bolts, has been fruitless. The heads have been to wide and to thick, grinding them seems to weaken them to much.

HOWEVER...........it appears that Cowboy joe, found exactly what I need.

They have both a T bolt and a Square bolt. And the spring clip that they show, though not like the few ramaining ones I have, and though I have seen the model Joe found, I was not sure how they would work. (the pictures I was coming across, did not show the clip in place....joes did)
So Charley's greenhouse is sending me samples of each (should arrive today of Friday) and I am so excited.

THANK YOU COWBOY JOE and the rest of the helpful HT family.
