Gun Laser Bore Sighter

A laser bore sighter is supposed to be a good way to at least initially set up sights and scopes, without burning up a lot of extra ammo.

Anyone use one and if so, recommend a good reasonably inexpensive model?

This is the one I use, puts me on paper @ 50 yds, though I usally start at about 10 yds.

So it does seem to save a couple of rounds to get started.

there are a few made better, but cost more...try here:

don't forget about just bore sighting bolt actions in daylight at 50, 75 or 100 yards.

Hi PJ
What rifle do you want to sight in? I initially adjusted the sights on my Marlin lever by pulling the bolt out (one minute of work) and sighting on a target through the barrel. When I finally shot it on paper the sights were only 3 inches off at 50 yards. That didn't cost a penny.

Good advice, I do it with the bolt guns, as well.

Another piece of advice is to level the scope and make sure it's tight, (don't ask me how I know).

Good idea. I have a Benelli pump, so it's I have to do it a bit different.

Blew my hunting budget for the gun, so I'm trying to use the VR smoothbore and rifled slugs, for deer.

Since the gun is new to me, I'm still getting used to aiming from the bead, let alone firing slugs.

Eventually, I'll get a slug barrel with scope.
