Price checking for heating fuels at: http://foxyurl.com/t6b

It doesn't necessarily keep the list current nor list all dealers. As an example the one I use is not listed nor are any prices listed for any of my other area dealers.

Similar--a site for gasoline: http://foxyurl.com/t6a

When my youngest daughter left her job last week, bulk propane was $1.09/ gallon and they are among the highest in the area. I talked to my friend in Bismarck and she checked==price was $1.00 gallon. This is bulk rate delivered to 500 and 1000 gallon tanks with a mimium order, cash price. The company she worked for had a mimium delivery of 300 gallons. Our propane company has a min order of 250 gallons and is usually cheaper than other companies, it is a coop and we get a dividend check once a year.

I intended to answer this, really I did. So I found the receipt when we bought gas last week. Hmmm it's in kilograms. Uh, convert the kilograms to pounds, where is that conversion chart again? So how many pounds are there in a gallon of gas? 4.2 if anyone is wondering. Ok, what is the exchange rate right now.......

Sorry, my brain locked up.

Price of the propane here is about $2 a gallon right now give or take depending on how much you buy. Oil is more like $2.40/gal again depending on how much you buy. We heat mostly with wood, so we never get any volume discounts.

We are looking into putting in a new propane furnace so my DH just got the prices today.

We are talking propane right?
I only use propane for cooking. Got the tank (100 lb) filled mid August - cost $3.9490 per gallon via Suburban Propane......
Heating oil according to the driver was less than $2.00 a gallon..... sooooo.
