RE: Big Buddy heater with 20 LB tank.....

I went out and priced them and checked the needed hookups. However, I was puzzled on the big buddy heater. The picture showed the big buddy being hooked up to 2 20 lb tanks.

My question is whether I can get the full 18,000 BTU's from only one tank. The reason I asked is that the big buddy has two hookups if you use the small cylinders and there are two white panels in front where the heat iminates.

thanks....

Yes, you get the full BTUs from one tank or two. The switch controls the BTUs.

Next Q: What is the difference in the Big Buddy and Tough Buddy?

Rural king carries the big buddy. They tell me they have to get them out of the attic from last year...which leads me to believe that it is an old model. Lowes carries the Tough Buddy.

According to their old recall information, they are both the same model number: Model MH18B. The pictures look the same for both also. Not quite sure what the difference, if any, is.
