Fun at the auction!

I went to an industrial auction yesterday, and picked up 3 important pieces needed to build our home, and get the homestead started. First, I got a Honda generator in like-new condition. MSRP is over $3,000, but I paid 1/10 of that! It started and ran on the first pull, and the genny is putting out like it should. It doesn't look like it was ever run. Next, I got a nice little Emglo wheelbarrow type air compressor to run my air tools. It works like a champ, too. Finally, I took a chance on a Stihl MS 360 chainsaw. It didn't look too bad, and the compression felt good. I got it home, and it started and ran on the second pull. It runs perfect- all I need is a fresh chain. Even the bar is decent. I have just about every other tool I need to build a house and barn, so these will go a long way towards our ultimate goal. Since we live in hurricane country now, and will be moving to ice storm country, the generator is a good thing to have. I love it when a plan comes together!

Great finds!

Until recently, it seems, there were more poeple with money, than there were auctions, so most everything, sold ridiculously high.

There are huge numbers of auctions now and people with less money. Maybe auctions will again become the bargains, they used to be.
