Freecycle treasure!!

I just got home with my latest freecycle find, a truckload of roofing shingles, most still in plastic. The guy I got them from said he's a roofer and these are left over from several jobs. There are a mixture of colors. My truck is riding so low that the trailer hitch is 8-10 inches of the ground. I plan to use these when I build my goat houses. Of course, I'll have lots left over to use for the pig house, repairing the lean-to roof etc. My mom estimated I had $1500-2000 worth on my truck.

Wow! How great for you! I know that we are pleased when we can get a bundle for $10.

Gotta love freecycle and other people's trash!

Well, I just got done unloading the shingles. I measured one pack that was still unopened and divided the height of the stacks by that number and came up with approximately 40 packages of shingles!! I think I have enough to roof my barn, my lean-to, and several little goat houses! What a blessing! I've had a whole string of unexpected blessings in the last week.
