Disposing gas mixed with water, any ideas?

DH has a 5 gallon boat gas can that is full of gas, but some how it was contaminated with water. It is taking up valuable space in our shed. DH says this gas is no longer good but he doesn't know how to dispose of it. Does anyone here have any ideas

If it was winter you could let the water freese then use the gas .

Water sits in the bottom. Pour some in a glass container. Look for the water. If no water, pour into a clean fuel can. Keep doing that until your boat gas is emptied.

If you have an old tree stump you want to get rid of, pour gas on it and let it soak, repeat, light.

Pour it on a brush pile, light.

Use it to thin used engine oil and paint wooden fence posts.

The same here. They burn it in their high temperature disposal furnace.

pour the gas off the top of the water into a proper container and use it. gasoline is lighter than the water so it will float and is rather easy to separate.

had a similar problem not long ago poured the gas in to a gallon clear plastic milk jug let it settle and poked a hole in the bottom with a knife lett the water drain off poped on the lid and turned the jug over then emptied into another container . have to watch using a lott of gas dry its expenive and not very good for the rubber parts of the system . most of the older tractors will run fine on old gas if its diluted with fresh ...... marine engines tend to be delicate and its hard to walk back if u have a carb problem............

Gas stations do this all the time, when they measure the amount of fuel in the underground tank they coat the bottom of the Gauge stick w/ water sensing paste. Water accumulates from condensation somewhere in the supply chain. Once the amount gets too high they call in a vacuum truck w/ a 'thief', a pipe that reaches the bottom of the tank w/ some sort of irregular shape so it does not suck fast and withdraw the gas/water before the buildup gets deep enough to be picked up in the delivery pump.

Waste disposal companies do the same thing w/ oil/water mixture, they pump it into a large tank and let it 'decant' into the two products b/4 sending the oil to a recucling company and the water to a disposal facility.

Dad used to remove water globs from lawn mower tanks w/ a turkey baster...

Please don't do this. It is illegal in most states. Used motor oil contains traces of Anti-freeze, lead, and other heavy metals.

We pour ours on the brush pile. But - don't pour it till you plan to fire up the pile. Otherwise, it gets in the dirt. Save it up and then use it on the brush pile.

pour it on the burn pile,,save a little, pour it on a 'torch/nice sized stick' light the stick/torch from the distance you feel you can heave it to the gas soaked pile and wait for the vwoomfff!!!DO NOT BE CLOSE and do not waste time, gas vapors settle close to the ground fast in high humidity! 20 -40 feet should be ok if done in under a minute.
Ok rethought this, 10-22 last transmission, don't do it. I have but I am living on the edge!
