Ride Needed (cross posted)

Okay, Elfie and Heidi have totally worn out their welcome here in NW Missouri!

I'm looking for someone -- ANYONE -- to meet me along the way to Aint'LifeGrand's place in LA.

Let's get these two on their way to their final destination -- PLEASE! I can't keep them here any longer!!! :help

Elfie is a cement lawn ornament, on its way to Louisiana. Heidi is some floozy he picked up at a curbside on his trip across North America.

The story is here:
http://homesteadingtoday.com/forumdisplay.php?f=81

The map of where they've been and where they're going is here:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...65625&z=4&om=1
I'm in NW Missouri, just 12 miles south of Iowa. Annie in MN dropped Elfie and Heidi off here a couple of months ago, and I've been trying to keep him moving ever since.

I'm willing to drive as far as KC, if someone can meet me part way to get these two moving south!

I have a ditch I need to fill.
It could be sacrid hole if the water doesn't get to high
and then let the neighbors worry about it.
I could pound a post with a sign that says 'Elfie and his Tang reside here or did at one time'. It's real quiet with lots of trees.
Just sayin.

Supposedly there is someone waiting for Elfie at the end of the road.
Someone who "loves" him.

She may even have a yellow ribbon 'round an old oak tree.

I'm in south central Missouri, but I don't go much north. If someone can get him in this area, I can take him south to Texas in the fall.

I do believe that the USPS and UPS expect payment for shipping items... And these WEIGH a TON. (okay, not a ton, but they're heavy...)

'Sides that, the whole idea was for folks to get a chance to meet each other IRL.

Is there a route to LA via TX?

I'm sure that most of us in TX would be able to help each other out by moving Elfie down to San Antonio.

Interstate 10 runs through every state in the south.

San Diego to EL Paso to Houston to Lafayette, more or less, then points east.

oKAY. Now we're getting somewhere.

Alice, whereabouts in MO are you? I'm in Worth County.

If it's quite a distant to Alice's, is there someone halfway between her place and mine?

It would be so kewl if we can make this happen for Hallowe'en!
