Weedex® Dandelion Bar for pulling across lawns.

In another thread Old Vet spoke of a weed chemical treatment bar that is drug across lawns thus distributing chemical that is embedded in a wax like material.

I first became aware of them back in the 1970s when I was given a couple of them that had been stored in a hot garage for several years. They were rather messy from the overheating in storage so I really wasn't able to give them a good test.

The only ones I'm currently finding on line are made in Canada and can't be imported. However the company also makes one specific to U.S. regulations that can be.

Also treats over 50 other broadleaf weeds. Can't eat them all.

When I used to apply Tordon 22K to field bindweed I got to noticing that within the next couple of years the area would have absolutely beautiful thick luscious grass growing there. The Tordon 22K in essence would keep all weed competition down which allow the grass to grow in thickly.

Tordon 22K has to be used very carefully according to label directions or it can cause problems, that is why it is a restricted use pesticide.

If it didn't migrate as it does it would be a wonderful lawn chemical, since it does it is out for that usage.

My point is that taking out weeds might just allow grasses to take over so thickly that weeds will be forced out or be very limited in numbers.
