Stupid lymes ROTTEN ticks.
Why oh why were ticks created. UUUGGGG. They have been so bad this year. I now suffer most likely from lymes sickness. AND let me tell you when the tylenol wears off it is just misserable. The pain, the shakes. the freezing. The worst part is Im 28 weeks pregnant and the poor baby within me is suffering also. The bacteria passes threw the placenta. At night is hell on earth I sleep till i wake with violent shakes Im so cold and my body temp has plummeted. It takes everything I have just to make it to the bathroom for a hot bath to bring up my body temp. After im warm and can manage to get a tyenol to my mouth and get a drink the shakes become a more of a jerk. and i can feel the poor baby with in me jerk. This poor lil thing isnt even born and dealing with something so major. I will set my alarm tonight so I can keep the meds in mysystem.
Im greatful I was able to call on my church to come help us out with farm chores and meals. we have a good chunk of the days covered.
I expect and put alot on my kids but my 8 yo lil mom is in Michigan with her grandma so my biggest help is gone. Not to mention its more than I could bear to put on them. All the chores and house work care of the other children.
lymes test wont be back for a week but I have the rash and symptoms. so its a realy good chance I have it.
yeah im looking for a pitty party.
This is the pits.

That sounds just awful. Hope you can manage to catch up on some much needed rest, though it sounds like you really have your hands full!
I'll keep you in my prayers. Has the doctor told you what your treatment options will be if the test results are positive?

I feel for you! I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease the first of June. I had the bull's eye rash, but the doctor suspects I've had it for years and the Fibromyalgia and MS diagnosis were just Lyme being misdiagnosed.
Since you are pregnant, are you able to take the Doxycycline? I took a 21 day dose, 200 mg. per day. It's helped.
Do some research online. The test isn't very accurate as the bacteria that causes the disease can "hide" by changing. My doctor didn't do the bloodwork. He said the rash is more accurate and, since I had the rash, there was no reason to do the blood test. However, I go back for a follow up this coming Monday and will be having the test.
My knees and lower back are what hurt me the most. And I would be burning up hot one minute and freezing the next. I also had horrible headaches and insomnia so bad the doc put me on prescription sleeping pills.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I've done lots of research since being diagnosed.

Im on amoxicillan 1500 mg a day for the next 14 days till the test results come back. Im alergic to doxy and it is also not safe in pregnancy. It lymes can harm the baby very bad can cause him/her to have braindamage from brain swelling. neuro problems. Deformities if infected in early pregnancy. I think this is a late infection. we had an us early on and everything was just perfect.
I have the insomina, jerking, and dear God soooo cold. my hands were white and my arms were blue at 3 am this am when i had to jump in a hot shower. Im glad my dh is not at home and at work due to he would have called 911. Being a retired emt he would have been rushing me to the er stat. He a truck driver now and gone most of teh time. I dont think he colud handle seeing me go threw this.
I feel like a BIG cow has came and slammed me as hard as she could in my back and yes I had a big cow do that. The pain jumps from joint to joint and the lack of energy is just crazy. I go all day and now cant even stand to make eggs for the kids in the am. So they have cereal which is a very rare treat and they love it.

Please don't just rely on if the blood test is positive to decide if it is Lyme. The test isn't accurate. My husband has never tested positive but we know he has it. We have an electron microscope picture of the spirokeet (not sure of the spelling, but it is the little bugger that is in your blood making you sick) in his blood.
Work with your doctor to find out what you can do to treat you both that will not harm your precious child, and do it as quickly as you can.
Best of luck to you, we will pray for you.
Peace-Cathryn
I am so glad that you are addressing this now and are on medication. I hope that relief comes quickly to you and your child.

I have been away and haven't answered all my PM's about this topic, but am repeating my invitation to send me a PM and I will answer any questions you can think of. I suffer from late stage decimated Lyme. In fact, part of the reason I have been "away" is a returning of the fog and exhaustion. Please feel free to PM me, my mind has come back to me (well, as much as it ever did, lol).

myheaven, I hope the antibiotics have started kicking in. My daughter was diagnosed 1 1/2 weeks ago, based on the bullseye rash and flu-like symptoms and a stiff neck. She did have a mild (100.5) fever. No blood test was done because it was caught early. After 2 days of antibiotics, she felt much better, and is back to normal pretty much this week. She is prescribed amoxicillan also- for three weeks.

Today I feel pretty good. Not going to push it tho. Baby needs to recover also. Didnt sleep much but didnt have the awful rotten shakes either. It is hard for me to sit around and wait to do stuff and be my "normal" self. just cant push it.

So sorry you are dealing with this. It's bad enough to get ill with a major disease. Even more sad when a baby is involved. Hope you recover quickly.

Why not try colloidal silver from http://www.HerbalHealer.com ?
I only mention the above because I know they have excellent quality products.
It is listed for adults and chlildren of all ages,
so I imagine that you can use this even if you are pregnant.

In all my research on Lyme Disease, I've not come across a single mention of using colloidal silver.

You are probably craving meat because you need more protein, or need more iron. Eat more beans and spinach. If you must eat meat offset it with a bunch of alkaline vegetables. It is easy to measure you bloods pH.

Dearest Myheaven please take Lyme disease very seriously. I am so glad that you have caught in the earlier stages and are taking appropriate steps in treating the disease because it can become such a debilitating disease if you don't. Take it easy and rest as much as you need, I found some joint pain relief with evening primrose oil and a nice soak in a hot bath. I ignored my Lyme symptoms for quite some time before seeking help and am now paying for that lapse in judgement. I have neurological problems (seizure) and can now longer drive and that lead to me losing my job. So please please take care of yourself and make sure you knock that Lyme disease back to last Tuesday. Good luck.
