Nice guy, but I can smell the show trying to do a formulaic repeat of the Susan Boyle stuff.

For those who don't know, chicken catchers are the guys who grab the chickens in the broiler houses and stuff them into the cages for transport to the processing plant. They work hard and incredibly fast.

Yup, a few guys go in and clean out a broiler house containing 50 to 60 thousand chickens in one night. Its a tough job but some bodys gotta do it. It aint like them chickens is gonna jump in them cages by themselves.

I LOVE that those folks laughed at him and he just smiled...then he started playing...standing ovation, maybe even a tear or two! Put 'em in their place! Good for him!

We TIVO all of the talent shows, and I've seen all the acts. Yes, there are much more "talented" singers and musicians than Kevin Skinner. But I haven't heard anyone get to me like he did. Apparently not everyone gets it - my wife doesn't understand why I keep listening to his song.

It's also great drama to see someone go from being considered a buffoon to suddenly a hero. People who think he's joking about a crew caching 60,000 birds per night...

I saw it the evening news and thought the guy was awesome. I thought he had a great voice and loved the song itself.

Gotta agree with the judges: For me, it was the words as much as anything, but there was a lot of sincere emotion put into the song, which is how it ought to be.
