Bulk Spice Needed

Can anyone give me info on a source for bulk Alum Pickling Spice we need it for wound healing so will need it in large amount. It is very expensive to buy in store in small containers. Thanks alot Rider

We just had the same discussion over on the Rabbit board - but it was for tanning hides.

You might want to contact http://www.generalchemical.com/alum-food-grade.html.

They produce it in bulk. 50#sacks to 1ton.

Not sure how much it is now..used to be around $250 per ton.

otherwise....I'd suggest what I always think of first...go to your local grocer and see if he can order it for you .... perhaps in a 5gal pail, or 10lb sack or similar.
