What is this?

Picked it up at a yard sale but I don't know what it is.
It is stamped "made in America woodcroftery for Americans" on the back.

The first thing I thought with the first picture was a bread board. The second photo makes me think of a mold to make rolls/buns. I'll keep looking at this thread to see if I am even close in my guess.

What size are the individual "molds"? Tartlets, maybe? They don't look rounded enough to be meatballs, etc.

I've seen something similar for meatballs. Same general "style" for a number of hamburger makers, etc.

If the depressions are the right size, I'd guess meatballs, too. The birdies are very '50s & meatballs & fish balls were popular then.

Yeah, my first thought was hamburger mold and then I saw the second photo. I'm going with meatball mold!

It's a cheese board. Those bumps on the reverse side are just little feet to keep it above the surface so it's easily lifted.

I don't think those are bumps, culpeper, I believe they are depressions, and the board is hinged in the middle.

The artwork on it is definately Scandinavian....my guess is that it may be a Swedish Meatball maker? My grandmother use to have many items with this artwork on it and she was Swedish.

We need Cabin Fever to chime in....my guess is that he will know!
