Peaches!

Our supermarket got some peaches the other day! YUM! I've been craving fresh fruit thats not an apple or orange/clementine/tangerine. Like berries or PEACHES. Its not like they dont have them other times of the year, sometimes they dont but usually they do. But they are always too expensive or no good.

They were surprisingly tasty; I thought they might be tart or unripe. I had 2 yesterday and 2 today, and am thinking about a 3rd.

Just thought I'd share the highlight of my day. Pointless, I know.

I took the seniors to a peach farm today to buy them some fresh peaches. DH and I just peeled a couple and sliced them and ate them, and you are right! They were delicious. Nothing like fresh fruit to soothe the palete.

We just had a juicy watermelon with dinner. I was mentioning to DW that on one hot summer day I think fresh fruit ONLY would be a great dinner. Put out the plates and everything with assorted fresh fruits to choose from.

I can't remember the last time I had a really decent fresh peach. It was probably when I was a teenager living in central CA.

Our peach season was really early this year and there are only several small peaches still hanging on the tree. Dunno why the trees were so early this year, but they were tasty. Haven't seen an avocado in awhile, though, but they should be happening soon.
