Nothing is better in the world than the first tomato!
I think I will be out of town when my first ones are ripe and DH will get to enjoy them all by himself.

I just planted mine yesterday. I'll be getting my first fresh tomatos probably in late August.

I wish mine were ready (or even near ready) to harvest. I'll be lucky to see fruit in July with all of the rain and cold weather we've had lately. Enjoy your first harvest!

I should get mine any day now. Some of those on the vines now are so huge they dwarf mine last year. And these are heritage like Black Krim and Cherokee Purple, which never get too big from my garden. I'm watching them like a hawk and pea green that you have some already!

I think I am a week behind you... But these are the very best plants I have ever had... Over 40 plants and they are loaded...I have two German Queens ( first ever this year) and I have never seen tomatoes that big before.. they are getting a lighter green and bigger everyday they must be 2 lbs... Next Week i will be eating my first tomato sandwich...I just know it.

You stink! I might have buds on the tomatillos but nothing even resembling a tomato.

I did add 2 home canned jars of maters to lentils I made for lunch. Not as good as fresh but sooooo much better than store bought.
