If you want a good farm dog, chances are they would be great. If you want a true LGD(lives with the goats/sheep and protects them 24/7), then please do yourself and the pups a favor and pass.
Its never a good idea to try and use a dog as an LGD who has other blood mixed in there. It *can* be disasterous as their programming is not correct for the job and they will not have the patience needed as an LGD.
I once had a Pyrenees/Lab female. She was a great dog, but NOT happy as an LGD. A frustrated dog living with my vulnerable goats?? Set-up for disaster. She was sold to an elderly couple who wanted a companion dog 7 years ago. They still have her and she is perfect for them.
