Question Weather Station Suggestions

I searched but didn't see anything current. My weather station outside bit the dust so now I'm shopping for a new one. There are just so many now! The one I had was fairly high end, but it was no better or durable than the wallyworld cheapie I had before it. Anyone got any suggestions on one they have they really like? And where to get it. I need a new rain gauge too.

Appreciate any tips.

I don't know if you just want basic information or if you want a quality weather station but if the latter you might wish to do some reading here: http://english.wunderground.com/weat...tion/index.asp

There is a hardware vendor link which I'm sure will give you some quality units. Expect several if not most will have built in rain gauges that are self emptying.

Sure would like to have one but they are more cost than I can afford and you may find the same.

I have a Davis Scientific that Mrs Cheapskate gave me for Christmas 3 years ago. It does a wonderful job and pretty much covers evrything and keeps an excellent record thereof.

I agree with Cskate, the Davis equipment is pretty good and I am a licensed weather observer...

Yes I have had a number of Davis Instruments weather stations. They are excellent and wireless now. You can also hook them up to the computer to keep a log of past weather. Chris

Hi,
I also have a Davis Vantage Pro -- like it a lot.
