Allis Chalmers Planter

I have a allis chalmers model 74 planter. I was wanting to find more seed plates for it. All I have is 2 corn plates. Are there interchangable plates for this planter? I have seen several on ebay just not for sure if the will work on it.

There is a company that makes new plates that you can buy, not cheap about $15 to $20 a plate. They are the ONLY company that still makes AC plates. forgot the name of the company, been a long time. I'm sure it will come up in a search.

It's possible they are the link windy posted, I didn't check it out.

Here is a place that has a manual for your planter for less than $40 . http://www.ssbtractor.com/tractors.cgi?m=allis
They might also have parts for it. I have done business with them and they are in Florida and have a good reputation for hard to get parts. Look at half way down to get to your planter. If you go to the site you can get manuals and parts for just about anything.

You should consider posting this question on http://www.allischalmers.com

It is quite incredible what those individuals know, and what they have for sale. The web site is a forum of AC enthusiasts.
