Stickey For Wood Stoves/furnaces?

Every couple of weeks people are inquiring about a good wood stove/ furnace/ boiler. I have seen a lot of good information, but it gets pushed off sooner or latter, and some knowledgeable people get tired of reposting. I was thinking that, perhaps, a moderator could assign a stickey thread where people could give testimonials and links to what they have found good (and not so good) This way people would have information constantly available about all kinds of stoves, from the fancy to the simple, from the expensive to the thrifty.

You have a good point, and if it continues to go unanswered, maybe post it in admin. I just tried an advanced search, keyword Flameview, restricted to yesterday - no hits. I know I saw a post yesterday. That has happened before, and I don't understand how.
A sticky would be a lot easier to browse for this post than the whole of HT.

You will always have post showing up outside of the sticky, even outside of a highly specific forum - usually because people post where they expect to get an answer.
Shop Talk is a good example of this. A sticky would keep a lot of the discussion in one place though.

We used to have a Woodstove sticky....and a "best firearm" sticky...and a NAIS sticky....and a "land" stickey....(I'm probably forgeting a few). The first problem was that people would not post new questions in the sticky thread. In other words, they started there own new thread. Then members started complaining that there were too many stickys. I gave up and unstickyed the stickys.

Here is a link to the old woodstove sticky ==> http://www.homesteadingtoday.com/sho...d.php?t=215775

Thanks CF,

I understand.... I see that happening quite a bit on one of the other forums I attend. It is too bad that people won't look when it is right at the top...

Thanks for the link
