00 buckshot 12 gauge light mag...okay for my mossberg persuader?

Its near impossible to find 00 buckshot. However, I found some at Rural King 5 for 6 bucks. However, they are "lightmag". Are these okay for my shotgun or is this too much power for it. I have a mossberg persuader, 20 inch.

thanks

Mossbergs are indestructible which is why we had them in the Army. Slam anything in there it won't hurt it.

Uh, stick a 3 or 3.5 inch shell in a 2.75 inch chamber and brand no longer matters, bad things will happen.

mldollins, your shotgun has a 3 inch chamber, 2.75 and 3 inch shells are fine, 3.5s are not.

let me throw another one at you....

the 2.75 shells have a bad kick when I use a pistol grip. The shells I use are 1300 fps while these are 1600 fps....will I notice a big difference?

thanks

A little more kick, other than that....nothing but how fast the shot meets target.

A lot of trap loads are under 1200 fps, as I recall.

There will be some difference, but it shouldn't be too much.
