Hr 875

There has been a lot of discussion concerning this pending bill. Here is the link to the full text of the bill as it will be presented.

http://delauro.house.gov/files/HR875_Full_Text.pdf

I have to say that after reading through the first 71 pages, I am concerned.

While I think we should all be concerned and keep an eye on this Representative Delauro has already been meeting with a group of organic farmers and much dialog has been taking place as to proposed amendments

We all want safe food but it is quite another thing to go overboard and wind up doing away with the food supply because there are no growers, or at least growers willing to jump through hoops in order to sell their crops.

I totally agree. The part of the bill that deals with imported food is good. The rest is vague enough to concern those of us who market and sell food crops. This would even affect those who sell baked goods at farmers markets. We need to watch this one.
