Nice job. I meant to post on your previous thread regarding working handguns but it got away from me before I could get back to post. Good suggestions all of them.

The model 12 shotgun that I have was my grandfathers go-to gun on the farm. That and his 30/30 and his .22 were easily the most used guns on and off the farm.

Good article
I have one of those old 97 Winchesters in the gun cabinate.
My next 12 gage is going to be a Saiga 12.

I have several shotguns. The next one will be a over and under .22 over a 20 gage. I know it is only a single shot but so are others that I own. And the single shot always brings more game home than a pump or semi auto. It is light and I can go more places with it and being an over and under it will do anything that I ask for it to do.

Thank you and I'm looking forward to the slaughter gun post as that is something I need to learn about. I shot some as a kid and teen, but never learned enough about guns and ammo to feel comfortable picking something out. Any ideas?

if you are talking about picking out a slaughter gun... I would suggest a plain ole .22 pistol. Preferably a revolver and not a cheap semi-auto. On the farm here they used a Quackenbush .22 rifle. it's very short little rifle but not very practical nowadays. But we did it anyway last summer when we slaughtered a sheep for a get together. Just for old times sake.
