EDAR,everyone deserves a roof

http://www.takepart.com/blog/tag/edar/

I heard the interview on the radio and looked it up. Pretty interesting what we can come up with when motivated. It reminds me about the low cost wheel chairs someone designed.

and walls and a floor, too!

back on SIL's property is (what's left of) a little old "cabin" that some old recluse bachelor lived in till probably the mid 60's. The siding on his cabin was made of coffee cans, bottoms cut out, split down the seam, hammered flat & shingled onto the walls.

it's a blessing to know that usually, our needs can be easily met. It's often those darn wants that can get us into trouble!

There are several cabins (and, I think, one ex-sauna) scattered throughout the woods around here made of wooden ammo boxes. I've been trying to figure out what the roofs were made out of, and now that you mention it I think maybe they could have been flattened coffee cans!
