Zenni optical

I got my new glasses in the mail last week. I really like them except for one thing....the frame that goes to the ears is about one inch too long! Hard to keep them from falling down.
I don't think it's my odd shaped head , my dollar store glasses fit ok.
Any cure for this? Where do you take glasses that need a repair?
This particular pair is not made to bend at the ears if you know what I mean.
Could this be a cruel trick played on me by the eye doc as I told him I planned to order online?

The ear pieces are too long - you can order the right size at an optician, so I imagine you can them them a better size for you through your mail order. I would call them.

Are the length of the ear pieces part of the prescription? Will my small town optician have them fixed for me? Why did this happen?

THe length of the earpieces is noted in the description of the frames. When you look for ones you like, check to make sure the earpieces are the right size for you. You may have to forego some frames you like if the earpieces are the wrong size.

Read all of the information on the web site. They explain how to measure for this and the width of the glasses, etc. They also explain how to return them for different frames.

Ive ordered 4 pairs of glasses from them over the years. The bendable flexible frames isn't so flexible across the nose piece (My fault and they lasted over a year anyways). I find the antireflective coating does get scratched fairly and instead of a bright reflection it turns it sort of greenish in color. I will order my next pair from them im sure.

I have always ordered my frames with the correct ear piece size. so if a pair doesn't fit well when I try them on, but I like the frame, they will order the correct ear piece or bridge for me.

Can you heat the ear end and bend it gently to fit around your ears? Most glasses have plastic ear parts which should be bendable. Or, can you pull off the plastic end piece and trim the metal shorter?

I love ZenniOpticals and I'll order from them from now on....the glasses I'm wearing now are the best pair I've ever owned, and I paid $30 for them. The optician wanted $300 for the same pair (rimless, flexible arms)

I measured my old glasses and looked for frames that came as close as possible to those measurements. I am pretty happy with what I got, and will probably order from Zenni again, although the correction in the left lens isn't quite right, and I'm not sure if that was Zenni's fault, or the prescription.

I did finally bend the ear pieces and am pretty satisfied for now, I agree that ordering from Zinna is the way to go. My last glasses cost over $350 and these are better at $70.

My daughter is in the Army. In basic training she was issued awful glasses that are one size fits all, if all have watermelon heads! In order to keep them on her head she had one of those straps that go around the back of the head to keep them on.

The Army gives things names. The glasses are BCG's (birth Control Glasses) and the strap to keep them on is a 'Dork Strap'. She has a real sense of humor and decided with some of her buddies to do a BCG Thursday every week!

The glasses I bought from Zenni five months ago just broke into two peices in the center of the bridge while I was wiping them off.

Yep that seems to be the weak point. Ive learned to order 2 pairs from them since they are slow shipping.

Well, the previous pair were titanium with a stainless steele bridge - I ordered 100% titanium this time...we'll see how long they last.

If you really like the glasses, you might consider plastic surgery to adjust your ears accordingly.

did you know that you can look at old glasses that fit you and there are measurements on the inside of them? Usually 3 numbers. The bridge width, glasses width, and the length of the arms. This is how I know which frames will fit my head... I just ordered a pair recently too and will be ordering another for sun glasses purposes very soon again.
