Clearing Land, again

I posted yesterday about us getting 2 acres of land cleared. -Thanks for the couple of comments I received about the price. I think the post was lost & I still am hoping for any other advice.

Husband & the guys agreed on $2500. This is to dig, burn & level. (Well, level without any extra loads of dirt)

It is suppose to rain here starting today through the week so we'll have a little time if we need to ask anything else. It will take about another week probably for it to dry enough for them to start.

We've not done this before so is there anything else we should be asking or knowing about this?

Price wise I think you made a good decision.
If you land is anything like DD and SIL, they are in Louisiana also, north west area, lots of pines, saw briars, and brush on top of sand and clay.
They did the same thing, and have been working on about ten acers for 5 years, cutting stumping, piling, burning, brush hogging, etc.

The house site was dozed and leveled and turned out pretty good, but was still a lot of work.

Like I said yesterday,don't let that deal get away.Just make sure he digs up all stumps and burn or bury them all. Eddie Buck
