I've heard so much about it and haven't had an opportunity to try any. I'm sure not going to pay money for it just to try it.

Silly you. The only way to get them is, to go out in the woods with a paper bag and stick. You tap the paper bag with the stick and call; ``Here Tofuturkey...Turkey... Turkey.`` The chicks will jump right in to the bag. Now you know how to catch them, let me know how it works for you.

I also will have to pass on this one, and second your ``Yuck!``

Enjoy the day everyone!

Hugs,
Linda

So...did it taste like chicken? Or turkey?

I like tofu as tofu, but don't usually eat it when it's meant to be like meat or dairy.

I remember the advice my husband gave me the first time we went to an Alumni weekend at the Seventh Day Adventist Academy he'd attended in HS. (Since, like most Adventists, the school was vegetarian)--

Don't expect the stuff that looks like meat to taste like meat. It will taste completely different. It won't be bad, but expect it to taste different.
And ignore all those life-long vegetarians who try to tell you that Stripples taste just like bacon. They don't know one way or the other! lol

Sure enough, so long as I kept it in my mind that this isn't a cheeseburger, etc, I don't mind veggie fake meat.
