lean to Greenhouse+ home insurance?

Before I try to get a hold of our insurance company and get ask this question, I thought I would ask here.
We are dismantling a lean to greenhouse which is bout 10 years old. The elderly woman who is giving it to us said it was her husbands who was big in orchids. Come with space heaters, tables, new shade cloth, etc. No fee, just would like it down since her husband passed away 5 years ago.
Since we are attaching it to our home, do we need to contact our insurance company? It does not attach to any doors, just a south facing wall and will just be attached with the hardware. Not interfering with home structure. It will go over 2 basement glass block windows which have one opening window I will use for the power cords and a removable hose for watering.
We are going to look it over today and I will be snapping pics of how it attaches and such to share with a friend who so nicely has agreed to help me dismantle it and use his truck to bring it to our home.
i know i will be posting another subject on assembling the right way, so that thread will have the pictures. LOL.
Anyone have input on the home owners insurance? We have state farm, if that helps.
Thank you~

I'm not sure that we understand the question fully......are you afraid that your insurance company will either cancel your coverage or INCREASE it, if you go ahead and attach it to your house? You either trust the company to do the right thing or as is evident in your request here......you don't. If he is a decent agent, he/she has already been to your home to take detailed pictures of the exterior, so they already know what they are covering......if something happens down the road and they come out and see the "new attachment"......well it's too late then to find out if your policy covers it or not.

I see no reason why the insurance company wouldn't cover your green house AS LONG AS YOU INFORM THEM PRIOR TO ATTACHING IT TO THE HOUSE.

However, you really won't know unless you ask them first.

So before you go to the time, trouble and expense of taking down the greenhouse, transporting it home and either reattaching it to your home or letting it just sit there unfinished while you try and decide if the prior insurance coverage will be compromised or not; why not give the agent a call?

You did answer the question..sorry it was so bobbled. rather early in the morning trying to find answers...
I was not sure if we had to notify them about it and if it would affect the insurance. Being the weekend, the agent is only at the office for a short time frame in the afternoons. So if i was lucky enough to get a call back before monday, i could have more info from him. Small town agent but sometimes he is just kinda...relaxed on questions like that in returning the answer. LOL.
Thank you for the advice.
